Baking Day

We had our annual cookie baking day with Denise, Katie and Kim Saturday morning. So fun!

We didn't go crazy this year but we did manage to make quite a few great cookies and treats.

Lesley had so much fun, always asking, "what can I do next?" She helped roll the cookies, add sprinkles, and pour ingredients. Oh, and let's not forget the taste testing. Denise caught her licking the powdered sugar off the chocolate macaroons. Hopefully those weren't the cookies you tried! Ha!

Do you remember these fun appliances from the 90s?

It still worked so Katie and Denise put Lesley to working making a "Lesley pie." She loved it! Amazing what some leftover pie crust and cinnamon and sugar will do for a 2.5 year old.

She had to adjust the temperature (fake buttons!) and send it through a couple times.

But then it was ready to eat and it was quite tasty according to Lesley.

Leah was more interested in dancing to the music and playing with the toys in the living room. She also liked the taste testing part. So much sugar for these girls this day!

Katie is so patient with Lesley. We have not been disappointed in our selection for Lesley's Godmother. These gals have a unique bond that I hope never fades.

Hopefully we have more years of baking cookies and being part of the Schieber family! Thank you Denise, Mark, Katie, Matt, Kim, Nick, and Tim (who wasn't actually there Saturday) for including us in so many of your family get togethers!
