We went to Iowa for Lyssa's baptism over the weekend. Since we didn't do the annual winter Holtz trip to the hotel this year, Jason and I decided to get a hotel room and spend a little time swimming. Plus, we didn't want to crowd Aimee and Mike at their house....it gets crazy with so many little ones!
Lesley and Lilly had a great time in the pool - no photos on my camera though because I was also in the pool. Too bad Daddy didn't pick the camera up while he was sitting on the side lines.

Daddy did get in the pool before the Anderson girls showed up. Daddy had to get Lesley's inflatables ready. She thought they were great. "Look at my big muscles mommy!"
We actually hung out in the hot tub for quite a while. It wasn't very hot, more like a warm bath, so we figured we might as well take advantage of it.
My favorite was when we were getting ready to leave the pool.
"Mommy, can you take my muscles off now."
I could not help but laugh outloud at that comment.

And sweet baby Lyssa is getting excited for her first Christmas!
She's growing fast and has the cutest baby rolls around her wrists. Unfortunately she's a pretty fussy, gassy baby and had given Aimee and Mike a run for their money. (I'm fairly certain they looked for the return label a time or two over the past month. Just kidding!) We sure hope that her tummy calms down and she gives her Mama a break. I told Aimee one good thing about going back to work soon is that the babysitter can clean up the spit up for 8 hours during the day. Granted, not sure being a vet lends itself to any better "fluids" but at least I got a small smile from Aimee.
I'm tempted to return her (and Lyssa's) Christmas gifts and just get Aimee a hotel room with the most luxurious bed for a solid 12+ hours of sleep as her gift. Heck, I don't even think she'd require a bed...just some quiet 'me time'! Hang in there big sister! I promise it will get better and these sleepless days and nights will be soon be forgotten. You better not back out on your desire to have 10 kids! I'm counting on more nieces and maybe even a nephew.
